Art Event - Alive After Five is set for 5-8 p.m. Aug. 17 in downtown Punta Gorda. This month’s event is set to be invaded by pirates. The public is invited to hunt for a treasure chest guarded by Long John Silver at Sea Grape Gallery. Visitors can find hidden pirate words in each of the businesses downtown. When their cards are filled, they can be deposited at any of the participating businesses. The Conquistador’s ship is docked in City Marketplace and visitors are encouraged to wear pirate attire.
