Fine art on loan at Charlotte Bank
"Majestic Skies," by Bonita Williams Goldberg, is among the award-winning artist's works on display at Charlotte State Bank's Punta Gorda office. A dozen paintings by award-winning artist Bonita Williams Goldberg are on display at Charlotte State Bank's Punta Gorda office at 2331 Tamiami Trail.
The works are on loan from Sunart Gallery & Framing in Punta Gorda and will remain on the walls of the bank for at least a month.
"We are delighted to have the opportunity to bring our customers some of Ms. Goldberg's vibrant impressionistic landscapes," said Branch Manager Jim Lawson.
Ms. Goldberg studied art at Thomas Moore College in Kentucky, graduating in 1988. She continued her education at Miami University and the Art Academy of Cincinnati, and she has studied under several well-known artists, including Michael Scott, Cole Carothers and Greg Storer. She counts Helen Frankenthaler, Georgia O'Keeffe and Diego Rivera among her influences.
Ms. Goldberg's work, which includes abstract forms in addition to landscapes, is housed in corporate and private collections in California, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Ohio, Tennessee, Washington, D.C., Washington State, Czechoslovakia and the United Kingdom. Her work also has appeared in numerous publications, including Style & Leisure magazine, and she created a feature film, "Living in Technicolor," in 2003. ¦
