¦ Benefit - The BoogieMen plays at the Playin’ for the Playground event at 8 p.m. at the Charlotte Harbor Event Center. The fundraiser for an adaptive playground for special needs children includes a silent auction. Tickets are $20 each or $250 for a table of 10, sold at Calusa National Bank locations in Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda, Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce, Charlotte County Chamber offices, Tiki’s Clothing, Charlotte Harbor Center and Laishley Crab House. Tickets will also be available the night of the dance.
¦ Tree Fest - The 19th annual Symphony of Trees opens at 10 a.m. at the Charlotte County Historical Center, 22959 Bayshore Rd., Charlotte Harbor. $2 adults/$1 children.
