¦ Tropical Rock - Punta Gorda’s own Jim Morris performs from 5-9 p.m. Center Stage at Fishermen’s Village. Free.

¦ Benefit - The BoogieMen plays at the Playin’ for the Playground event at 8 p.m. at the Charlotte Harbor Event Center. The fundraiser for an adaptive playground for special needs children includes a silent auction. Tickets are $20 each or $250 for a table of 10, sold at Calusa National Bank locations in Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda, Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce, Charlotte County Chamber offices, Tiki’s Clothing, Charlotte Harbor Center and Laishley Crab House. Tickets will also be available the night of the dance.

¦ Tree Fest - The 19th annual Symphony of Trees opens at 10 a.m. at the Charlotte County Historical Center, 22959 Bayshore Rd., Charlotte Harbor. $2 adults/$1 children. The show and auction run until Dec. 5 and feature unique holiday trees, wreaths and centerpieces decorated by local nonprofit organizations. 629-7278 or www.CharlotteCountyFl. com.

¦ Diamond Revue - A Neil Diamond Revue with Jack Berrios starts at 7 p.m. at the Cultural Center of Charlotte County Theater, 2280 Aaron St., Port Charlotte.
