Homes by Towne Models nearing completion at Babcock Ranch

Two furnished model residences by Homes by Towne are on schedule for completion by the end of February at Babcock Ranch, a new 18,000-acre eco-centric, solar powered town being developed by Kitson & Partners 20 minutes east of Fort Myers off Florida State Road 31 in Charlotte County. Homes by Towne processed the first end-user new construction contract at Babcock Ranch in January and is building four furnished models in Babcock’s Lake Timber neighborhood. The third and fourth models will be completed in mid-March. Each of the homes is being built to Florida Green Building Coalition Certification standards.

Homes by Towne’s Harvest Collection includes eight plans from 1,956 to 2,660 square feet base-priced from the mid- $300’s on home sites 50 or 60-feet by 130- feet. Craftsman, Farmhouse, Coastal Gulf Vernacular, Spanish, and Colonial/West Indies homes will include deep front porches close to the sidewalks and streets to encourage conversations with passersby. Rooms at the front of the plans will have doors opening to the front porch.

The Sungold and Sterling models are scheduled to open this month. Base-priced at $414,000, the West Indies Sungold model offers 2,545 square feet with a great room and a dining area, island kitchen, and breakfast area that offer three places to dine. The plan includes three bedrooms, a den, two baths, a three-car garage, and a pool and spa. The model will include an optional pool bath.

The 2,660 square feet Farmhouse style Sterling will feature a red metal roof accent. Base-priced at $419,000, the three bedroom, three bath, great room plan includes both a den and a study that allow the home to offer three, four, or five bedrooms. A vaulted ceiling in the great room contributes to the plan’s open feeling. The model will include an active outdoor living area and a summer kitchen.

The Brandywine and Jade models are scheduled for completion in mid- March. The Coastal style Brandywine features a 1,956 square feet plan with two bedrooms, a den or third bedroom, two baths, a great room, kitchen and dining area, and a two-car garage. The plan is base-priced at $347,000. The model will include an optional pool, pool deck, and outdoor kitchen.

Base-priced at $398,000, the two-story, Craftsman style Jade presents a 2,441 square feet, two-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath great room plan with a den and upstairs bonus room. The den can serve as a third bedroom on the first floor. The upstairs can include a bonus room with a half or full bath, or a bonus room plus a third or fourth bedroom with a half or full bath. The model will feature the full bonus room and half-bath plus an outdoor living area with a summer kitchen.
