Personal protection seminar set as Humane Society fundraiser

The Gulf Coast Humane Society is offering a personal protection seminar from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, June 24, on the GCHS campus at 2010 Arcadia St. in Fort Myers.

Limited spots are available. The cost is $90 per person. Part of the proceeds will benefit GCHS.

“I want to be able to protect my dog as well as myself,” said GCHS Executive Director Jennifer Galloway. “This course can definitely prepare you to protect yourself, as well as your dogs.”

The Systema Personal Protection seminar will be run by BERKOOT International Protection Agency, which provides discrete and effective protective, investigative and self-defense training services for businesses and personal situations.

The seminar will focus on an individual’s ability to conquer their fear, neutralize threatening situations and provide a more confident and worry-free life for yourself and your family.

Additional benefits are a great awareness of the world around you and improvement in overall physical fitness and mental sharpness. Systema Personal Protection is designed for the average, everyday person and uses a minimal output of energy to achieve maximum results.

The seminar will be for ages 18 years of age and up and no previous experience in self-protection is necessary.
